I flashed the chip with your file and soldered it back onto the board.
But now the laptop seems completely dead. Only the LED lights up in red as long as I press the power button.
No charging and no reaction.
Maybe I shorted/damaged something while soldering (I will check this tomorrow)

It has bios locked, I used Dell patch but now it power on and off, nothing on the screen

I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical. I threw in the display and my hypothesis was correct, however, I was greeted with a locked BIOS and since I didn't know the password, I figured I'd try to unlock it somehow. Hi all
Anyone come across this issue where a BIOS flash will only part complete?
It will update the system BIOS and Primary EC BIOS fine but fails to update the Intel TBT Retimer, Intel TBT Retimer 2 and ME Firmware.
NVMe m.2 drive isnt detected in the BIOS, but you can get into the BIOS fine and it all works in there as intended.
The drive works fine in another laptop.

i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
- takes long time to restart.
- sometimes powers on and then off
- sometimes while working it just dies,
From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?
i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)
As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.

3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"
