HP Elitebook 840 G5 - reset BIOS password
Hi! I've bought a used laptop and want to reset the OS to linux, but the BIOS admin password is set and the seller has stopped responding.
Neither hp support or my local it-fix-shop can help me with this (hp can swap the motherboard for about 3x what i paid for the comuter, but thats not really an option).
Anyone know a way to unlock the cumpter myself, or can I swap the BIOS chip somehow and what do I need to do that?
I have some limited soldering and tinkering experiance but Im willing to experiment 🔬
