Problem
This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached.... -

I need help with my Acer Aspire 5920G laptop. Its original GeForce 8600M GT graphics card failed, so I replaced it with an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT MXM card.
**Problem:** The laptop powers on, but there is no display (black screen) on either the internal LCD or external monitor. This indicates a BIOS compatibility issue with the new graphics card.

I have a ASUS Rog strix laptop that I bought recently to fix and the previous owner spilled water on it . He brought it into a repair shop for them to check it out and instead of fixing it they damaged the battery connector of the laptop ! Other than that they damaged damaged nothing . But since the liquid damage the laptop only turns on and the keyboard lights up and then immediately turns off.
