Thank you for the link but i don't feel confident in doing it. I've had a lot of failures in the past. I'd prefer someone with the know to nail it first time.

Thats ok,it takes time to learn it. The backup you posted isn`t from the bios chip, its only 1MB 1 megabyte !! ,its firmware for thunderbolt or something else.
Keep looking for the bios chip

It didn't work. With the original i was getting 980miliAmps with the keyboard backlight and fan spin. With the one that you kindly gave i'm getting no fan spin or keyboard backlight and only 200miliAmps
