    UB090 from faulty 820-01814-A

    Hi,
Here it is the original rom from this macbook mother board with a very strange behavior. I included the A1990 UB090 file that I found here in the forum, thanks for that. I can see that the content of the files is different, probably too different for just being than mine got a bit corrupted.
The behavior is that al four USB C ports negotiate the 20V completely fine and the computer boots. Connecting a USB hub, the sd card reader works, the Ethernet port works, HDMI works, but connecting a simple mouse does not work. The working functions of the USB Hub mentioned only work on the left USB ports (both) and will not work on the right USB ports. Initially it would look like the right USB C ports only work for charging. But then if I boot the computer with the Alt key pressed, the mouse will work on all 4 USB ports no problem. I addition to that, booting the computer in normal mode, after around 20 min, USB 2 devices will start working on all 4 USB C ports, but the USB Hub will still only work on the left USB C ports.
After checking many voltages around, reballing the CD3215, reflowing a few components, looking for shorts, I could not find any hardware problem.
It would be great if someone could check the BIN files I tell me if I should go on and flash the A1990 UB090 file I found here.
If my file is good and serves someone else, I already would be happy about it
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long story.

    Re: UB090 from faulty 820-01814-A

Just adding that I did try a few times DFU revive and restore, which looks like they got executed ok and no changes. I did not get any errors when doing it, the only concern is that the progress bar was just getting close to 50% when the computer would reboot in the login screen or the restore screen.
To get the files and to program the IC I am using EZP2019+, just in case it is not the right tool.
    Thanks again

I flashed the UB090 and the behavior is still the same, no changes for good or bad.

GTX 1660 Ti: Missing GPU Details & Abnormal Behavior - Possible Faulty IC?
        by lolich112
        Hello everyone,

I've been encountering some perplexing issues with my ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti Gaming OC and am seeking insights or potential solutions from the community.

        Symptoms:

Initially experienced a gradient-style black screen from the top.
Poor performance: ~10 FPS on the lock screen.
Encountered artifacts followed by black screens.
After addressing a PSU-related problem, still observed a performance drop (~10 FPS).
        Upon using GPU-Z:
        Memory size shows as 0MB.
Unknown bus width and bandwidth reported....

        i9 32GB Ram 1TB

Hi, I found short on one of 6 black nand (total 1TB).
i removed all 6 nand ( voltages all ok) and now i want to program with JC P15 but for A1990 2019 there is only 512GB configuration.
I try A2141 1TB configurazion with TSB4228 but the position on pcb is different ( U9300 and U9400 is no stuff on A1990 but present on A2141 and U8800 and U8900 is no stuff on A2141 but present on A1990 )
macbook with A2141 configuration run on recovery but don't complete it.
        anyone can help me?

Why doesn't current just bypass faulty capacitors.
        by Spudgun
Hello esteemed members. I appreciate that my question will strike some as being somewhat childishly simple, but it genuine perplexes me! I have repaired several laptops before by removing a faulty capacitor that was short-circuiting the motherboard, whereupon the laptop would then work. For me, it begs the question that, if the current can bypass where the capcitor was when it has been removed, why didn't it just bypass it when it was present and faulty,? I can't get my head round the premise that if the other side of the capacitor is connected to ground, then why doesn't the current simply bypass...

Acer A317-53 need help to disable faulty onboard ram
        by b-slayer
        Hello.
I have an Acer Aspire A317-53 laptop with faulty onboard ram modules, after online searches, I have only found two options to get it working :
        - first one is to modify le bios to disable the onboard ram.
        - second one is to disable the onboard ram by desoldering some components on the mainboard.

so after some hours google-ing, i have to give-up the modified bios option, main reason is I couldn't find anywhere a such modified Bios, alternate reason is that if windows update makes a bios update, the problem is always here...

so i found that my motherboard...
