post the original content of the bios chip, even if it is corrupted..

Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Original BIOS CHIP is bad, can't retrieve backup from it. Is it possible to generate a new Bios from scratch?

First of all, I apologize for my ignorance. I followed instructions from various places to connect my CH341A reader and used AS Programmer to read the BIOS from a Dell Precision 7560, ST 971J2J3, BIOS locked with an admin password, but I think I did something wrong. The resulting bin file I saved is only 1024KB in size. The info printed on the chip is Winbond 25Q80EWSIG 2120 and I pasted a screen shot of my AS Programmer below. Moderators: please feel free to move the post the appropriate sub-forum if necessary. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

              Winbond 25Q80EWSIG 2120 isn't bios chip.

Having trouble locating the chip. Can anyone give any clues or info on what I should look for? I found a GigaDev 25R25 but I can't get it to read like I did the other one. Thank you!

I think I found it, but I can't get it to read. It's the GigaDevice chip in the middle of the pic. The green light on the CH341 never comes on. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

                    Don't post pictures unless asked....

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

Thank you; you're the best man.
My laptop has two issues: the BIOS chip and the BIOS file.
I used winbond 25q256 instead of GD 25R256, and they are not compatible.
So I found the exact BIOS chip and your dump, and the job is done.
                        Laptop come alive.
Thank you all for your help.
What programmer did you use for gd25r256? THanks

search the programmers database yourself and see where you find it...

Can you help me remove bios password?

Read the password topic, depending on the suffix you might be able to unlock it yourself - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...23#post1622423

Hello friend, after uploading, the fan turns on for a second and then the LED flashes 4 times. The laptop does not turn on, I tried to reload the original batch but it does not boot, do you have a clean BIOS for this laptop?
