Bios .BIN for Toshiba P855-34k ?

    Hi everyone,

I've had a Toshiba P855-34k in my drawer for a few years which stopped at the Toshiba logo when started without going forward and without being able to even enter the bios with F2 F1 Esc Del etc... I tried them all, CMOS reset etc. .. and checked all the voltages of the important chips on the motherboard and they are correct. Thinking that the bios was corrupted, with CH341A programmer I tried to load the 2 -BIN files that I found on the internet but now I don't even see the Toshiba logo :-D Checking with Winhex I saw that the EC file has no header and is full of FF bytes up to location 00160000, therefore empty for 3/4 while the MAIN one maybe has a header, maybe... a lot of gratitude to whoever helps me

Upload your Original Backup here, write your Device Short Model and Serial Number.

Thanks but it's just the two .BIN files I have that I was talking about. I don't understand what the .ROM file is for.

You need to Compress the files before upload it, use WinRAR or 7-ZIP.
Serial Number and Model will be written on the Laptop Bottom Cover, not on the Motherboard.

Here's your New BIOS, it's a Virgin BIOS from Toshiba.
If the Device works fine, we can transfer your DMI.

By the way, the Model Number in your Dump is "SATELLITE P850".

I'll try it in a while and let you know, thanks in advance. I wanted to ask, don't you find it strange that the 2MB file starts at 0016000 and has all FF up to that point ?

Did you mean (160000h)? No it's normal, because your BIOS file is divided on the 2 Chips.

00160000 is the hexadecimal offset from the start of the EC file. I thought each bios had separate functionality and the EC one worked in symbiosis with Super I/O

No, they complement each other. Maybe the SIO has another Chip or its Firmware is inside it.

ok. Another quenstion...since the P855 identifier is in the MAIN file and since I have two boards, one P855 and the other P850, I noticed that at the address 0015F000 of the 16_855.bin file that I posted there is a sequence of codes, BY29N-GGJP3-*****-*****-****-****, do you know if it is possible to understand from these codes whether the file refers to the P855 or the P850 ?

It's your OEM Windows Key, you shouldn't Post it on public.

I have a problem, with the battery starts with the charging cable stuck on Toshiba logo.

Yesterday I connected the charging cable and main battery together and it started up to Windows but today I removed the battery and tried only with the charging cable but it stuck at the Toshiba logo without going on, but at least I can log in in the bios with F2, which it didn't do before.

Therefore, what's your Problem now? The device stuck on Logo and doesn't boot to Windows or you can't go into the BIOS menu?
Have you tried to remove the CMOS Battery? Did you checked with another HDD?

The problem now is that if I power only with the charging cable, it hangs on the Toshiba Logo while if I remove the cable and put the main battery, I get to Windows boot without problems, so I don't think it's the disk. I also took out the CMOS battery and shorted the plus and minus on the motherboard (no on the battery).

                                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                          🧩 Initial Issue
                                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                          • External display (HDMI) shows

                                          Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

                                          Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

                                          Dear Forum Readers!

I'm looking for a BIOS modder or anyone with experience who would give me suggestions about my razer blade's BIOS settings.
I can view and edit the content of the BIOS .bin file with AMIBCP BIOS editor.
The BIOS files I'm working with are from badcaps.net and those are CLEAN BIOS files (anyone can find it with the search string: RZ09-0421).
