Re: THINKPAD L390 Not turning on after password remove
Hi.
1) link a schematic or more details on the silk screen markings on the logic board.
2) Is the power adapter the typical barrel / coax round connector? Check the voltage to ground at the dcin connector. Check the same at every large coil. If you see a very low voltage then the power path has to be reviewed.
Which charger IC is on this logic board? This part should be near the 2 x DCin mosfets close to where the dcin connector is located. The charger IC is often the 'BQ' series from Texas Instruments.
Update: it is a usb c power delivery adapter. Check the voltage to ground on each grey coil to get started.Last edited by mon2; 12-03-2022, 05:23 AM. -

by RMDUiFTGood day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.
I have a few questions:- If I would buy this laptop and have
