    Hi mon2,

I noticed on the board a bridged joint and I fixed it. Now machine fan is staying on but no display or chime.

    Can you help?

          Good voltage.

          Voltage of PPBUS_G3H ?

Hi mon2, is it still BIOS chip?

My guess is yes. That should be the next phase of this repair. The ppbus_g3h voltage is good and confirms that the SMC IC has communicated with the local regulator to create this exact voltage value. Perhaps others can comment. Bios is not my area, yet.

Okay I will replace BIOS chip.

I removed RAM and I do not get any beeps, I am not sure if this is confirming of BIOS chip or not?

Is there anything significant about not having any beeps when no RAM is inserted? Or is this also indicating BIOS issue?

You need to inspect the entire board for more damage. If you found 2 bridges pads...then I'll bet anything there's either more damage (missing components, etc), or the board has been worked on before.

By the way, which 2 pads were bridged? Might be relevant.

I am not sure exactly but I cleaned all around this area and used my solder wick to remove the bridge.

That area looks pretty rough, not going to lie.

What's going on in the top-right corner of the last picture? Is that a bridged cap with a loose resistor?? And that ripped-up trace in center-right of photo, make sure it's not creased/broken. Make sure none of those missing test-pads are actually through-board traces; hard to tell if a few spots are solder or missing pads, but I could definitely see that area being a problem...and maybe even other areas of the board if that one looks that rough. What's the reverse side of board look like in that same spot? I think that's a PGOOD enable IC in top-right as well, and it looks a little suspect.

Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....

The laptop is CLEVO N970TF with i5-9400, RTX2070, i haven't disassembled it yet to know what is the board number, i will update that later, but the issue is laptop turns on normally and works for about 2 minutes, then both fans turn on to the max and in 30 seconds laptop shuts down! Nothing is warm or even close to overheating...

i manage to get linux up and running and monitor the temperatures from all sensors, and the peak one is 51 celsius from a cpu cores...

So something is acting up and thinks the laptop is overheating? How to foul the board into thinking everything...

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...
