Re: ASUS X556UJ_MB rev 2.0 touchpad
Yes, looks correct. Concern is for the low voltage readings of the I2C track pad lines.
Remove the esd diode you have near this connector and measure the voltage readings again. Test again without the esd protection array.Comment

Re: ASUS X556UJ_MB rev 2.0 touchpad
This is nearly the exact board version I have:
https://devicedb.xyz/dev/file/3886-a...boardview-asc/
I think the boardview files here at badcaps for X555UJ are not quite for this one.
Mine is 60nb0ag0-mb1112
I traced continuity from pin5 to this chip:Comment

Re: ASUS X556UJ_MB rev 2.0 touchpad
Basically, anything to do with the trackpad in boardview is missing on this mainboard, both sides of the board, leading to the embedded controller.
i've put that little mosfet back on, but the voltages did not change.Comment

Re: ASUS X556UJ_MB rev 2.0 touchpad
The touchpad is really x555uj, not x555l? Same problem. The x555l is not i2c.Comment

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

by ShadowAiHello, I have an issue with the motherboard. Specifically, it doesn't power on, more precisely, the POST initialization doesn't occur.
Let me start from the beginning, the motherboard suddenly stopped working one day. There are no beep signals from the speaker, and the debug LEDs are not lighting up. After inspecting it under a microscope and using thermal imaging, I didn't find anything that could be damaged.
After that, I began voltage measurements, in which I noticed the absence of VDDQ, VDDP, VTT, and VPP lines. Later, I checked if there is an EN state on these lines,... -
by RhaverzGood afternoon friends
I have an Asus laptop motherboard X455LJ REV 3.1 that the touch pad does not work, I was trying to check if something was wrong at the drive level but I did all the necessary installations and the touchpad still does not work.
I have a feeling that the error goes more to the board level because the touchpad is not recognized by the device manager and it is supposed that even if it does not work correctly it has to be detected.
I even checked that the data bus made a connection between the touchpad and the motherboard and everything... - Loading...
