    X556UJ-XO114T with i5 6200U & Nvidia 920M ?

    Hello ,

Sudden death of the laptop, was working in the night. By morning completely dead. No power light , nothing.

Used my multimeter , and saw 19v in the mosftets that come inside.
I thought the BIOS Chip maybe in the night (it passed an update ?maybe). It was opened for lot of hours (it had airflow from beneath, and electricity from my UPS) so this 2 are out of the question.

I used the link of peste to burn in a new , bios dump, but again nothing.
Laptop keeps staying at dead point.

I am attaching the bios dump of peste.

Any thoughts were i should look ?

Post the voltage readings of each pin of the first mosfet.

Then continue to do the same for the second mosfet.

Attach the external recommended and known good adapter for this laptop.

Does the main power rail pass through the mosfets onto the logic board?

      mosfet 1
      19.0 all pins.
      Except (pin 8 ,24volt)

      mosfet 2
      19.0 all pins
      except (pin 5 , 24 volt)

Can you share the markings on the topside of each mosfet ?

I think you may be reading the pin #1 incorrectly as most mosfets are 8 pins; with 4 on each side.

The pin #1 will be the TOP LEFT of the device and the numbering will be in a 'U' pattern.

        1 8
        2 7
        3 6
        4 5

and expecting that GATE = pin # 4 = 24V = good voltage to have for the mosfet to turn ON but we can confirm it once you share the markings so we can hunt down a datasheet.

          I think i read it correctly ? Don't know.

Here is the picture in detail how are the values.

              Just know that Pin # 4 = 24v.

Review your logic board and read off the topside markings of these 2 mosfets @ PQ8906 and PQ8907.

Or take a clear pic and post it here as an attachment. LOL - you just did

For some reason i don't see 3.3volt in the BIOS chip. Trying to find where it comes from ,but i cannot.

Are you powering the board by the soldered brown wire in your picture,or using the adapter connected to the power jack

                            Both ways.
The cable that i soldered was on the back. To use my power supply , to find the short in case there is one.
But it doesn't "draw" any Ambs my power supply. It stays in 0.00 even if i use 3.0v

I even removed the first (2 mosfets) just in case i can see something else, that is wrong. Nothing again...

I did, solder the mosfets back , and get the same values to the mosfets.

All the grey (big coils) all are 0.00v no change on the voltage.

                                  Something else that i found.

All the red circles, are beeping , in both ends. ( i removed them and still they were beeping)
I removed the green chip (that i circled in case this was the problem) but again the beep is in all capacitors .
The rest that are around and are NOT circled they are not beeping (only 1 side)

But the ones in red, they all beep in both ends...

Test them in ohms mode and post the values. They are expected to show very low values. What is the resistance on pin8 of bios chip??

The pin8, after a while it shows 0,86 (in my multimeter with selection of the 2M Ωhm)

                                      Now, i found something else...
                                      QFN-8 , G4 GUE , 2R0F04 chip.
One shows the resistance 0,510...the next to it ,shows only 1/4 of the value .

                                      Here is picture.
