Acer a315-25-95kf

I need help on this acer a315 DA0ZASMB8D0 REV.The problem with this one it came to me as no display, so i open the laptop and find out burnt mosfet near processor area AO6414A so i replaced the mosfet with new one now no lghts i removed the mosfet and check outside it became short, so I checked the pads , i noticed the gate is shorted to ground,anyone can help me on this please, i have attached schematic and pic on the location of the mosfet the mark read is the gate shorted

anyone please help already done cleaning but still source and gate are still shorts beeping to ground

Why not remove the PWM connected to this mosfet and check again??

@mcplslg123 thanks for the response I remove one side of coil R22 connected to gate and the gate is not beeping to the ground anymore,but source and gate are beeping, any help on this please

Hi. If you suspect a mosfet, check the resistance.

Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode (2k).

Measure :

Source (1-2-3) and drain (5-6-7-8)
Source and gate (4)
Gate and drain

Post the measurements. Checking for low resistance values = defective mosfet.

Can you provide details of which mosfet you are referring to in the schematic?

These are cpu power rails which are normally low resistance rails.

Does your meter have a lower as resistance scale? Use it for these checks. It appears you have 3 ohms to ground which may be too low and be considered a shorted CPU but wait on other replies to this thread.

the mosfet above pic burnt is AO6414A connected to R22 COIL my meter is fluke 15b+ i set to manual to kohms

I dont know which side on the schematic because there is no written name on the board and i cannot find a board view on this

Look for the PU2 RT3662ACGQW controller and check which pin the AO6414A gate is connected to.Don`t apply any power to the board.

i noticed this pc27 both beeping to ground that is connected and beeping on pin 36-38 of RT3662ACGQW

UPDATE: remove RT3662ACGQW the short is gone on the gate of 6414A
