ACER a311 is hard to turn on

    ACER a311 is hard to turn on

    morning everyone, I hope someone can guide me for this acer a311 case, this mobo has a problem that is quite unique and so confusing to me, namely it is difficult to turn it on when it has not been used for several days, it can only turn on when pressed the power button up to 5-10 times can only turn on and after it can turn on, the screen only shows "no bootable devices"


    the execution i have done
    - flash BIOS
    - try another hard drive
    - replace KBC with a new one

    I'm confused about what I should check after this, because in my s5_on measurements, I think it's normal and there are no problems with the power button and battery.

      Have u checked UEFI/Legacy settings in bios??

          What I wonder is why this mobo when it hasn't been used for a long time is difficult to turn on, so after turning it on it's easy to turn it on again after being turned off for a few minute

              after I heard the sound of the hard drive, on the old mobo it didn't turn on, and after the mobo it turned back on by pressing the power button several times, but the hdd seemed to turn on slower than the mobo, like there was a 10 second delay


              so it doesn't turn on at the same time as the mobo


              is my explanation clear sir?

                  Not at all. I asked simple question. Did u checked uefi/legacy settings in bios??HDD usually spins a little later and I'm not impressed with this kind of observation. Once u checked bios settings and still not resolved,then measure voltage at HDD connector. I'm only suggesting for no boot device solution. Not turning everytime can be looked later once u know device is functional.

                      but in this type of acer acer bios there is no LEGACY/UEFI setting sir, this only uses UEFI, and I have set the boot menu to Enable but it's still the same, I also set fast boot to Disable

                          Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

                          I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

                          I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen.
