    Mac address is irrevalent for display issue-so you can fix that later.
    Forcing LCDVDD wont work if the cable is internally shorted. Its practically not possible to check a display cable for short with multimeter as the cables are twisted in pattern,eg, pin1 on the mb connector may reach say pin12 on lcd side connector.
    So you simply cant check it for short. Still strongly advise to replace the display cable first as the readings seems fine without cable on mb side.
