I also have this problem, I think it's computrace. Removing the bios password will not work, once it is enabled it can never be diabled unless you modify the bios bin which is what I'm trying to look on how to do it. I'm using the laptop (with device freeze issue). I also did some workaround to temporarily block the message.

Asus X99-pro/usb 3.1 Usb overcurrent device reoccurring issue
          by Yolofolkss
Hi this is a really odd case.
I have removed all of the esd ic for USB 3.0 and 2.0
I measured all of the data lines and 5v usb voltage lines there are no shorts
all of the USB ports have no damage
Clearing the bios using the jumper wont help.

it is still showing USB overcurrent device

the only temporary fix I've tried and worked so far is flashing the bios
          and the error is gone
but when you start the motherboard with a USB device still attached
the USB over current device error is back. the bios needs to be externally flashed...

Ancient Memorex VCR/DVD Combo device with strange display issue
          by SluggerB
This is a 14 year old Memorex DVD/VCR Combo.

I got a new LG TV. I pulled the Memorex out to hook it up. it only has composite out, so I go composite to a little composite > HDMI device, then HDMI to the TV.

In VCR mode, it works fine. The display quality is what you would expect, but I can play tapes just fine

In DVD mode is where the issue started. In the main DVD screen, prior to it loading any DVD (or with no DVD even in) I am getting diagonal black lines scrolling diagonally across the screen. These continue even if I play a DVD.

          So...

Crest Smart Home Single Power Adaptor SHSPM1 (rebadged Tuya device) - bad cap causing failure, how to repair
          by mrdevil
          Hi all,

Wanted to share this as I couldn't find anything on the internet about this problem, so pulled one apart and found the problem myself. Years ago I bought approx 20 or so Crest Smart Home Single Power Adapter smart switches - small 240v Tuya-compatible (rebranded) smart switch devices with power monitoring, which Big W had on sale for half price. Paid $7.50 each for these, and they've been incredibly useful for turning things on and off remotely... and monitoring how much power each device uses.

However, after about 12 months, I had a number of these stop working...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
          by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Gaming Laptop Zephyrus S17 TFT not detected every time !
          by titomno2
          Hi guys,
I post my problem here because I think it could be a capacitor related issue (Asus support on this particular subject is non-existing).
So the computer is a Zephyrus-S17-GX735LXS-26T and the strange behavior is seen.
On cold start most of the time the internal screen is detected and a picture it works fine until shutdown, sleep or deep sleep.
Then the screen won't work for a long period of time.
If I wait 1 or 2 hours it work again most of the time.
When it doesn't work the batterie indicator blink 3 times white stop and the same schematic is repeated...
