Re: Asus x751ld rev 2.0 mosfet problem

        Thanks for the reply,

Finally I have changed the mosfet with 7410.
On ic up1589 vin is ok, enable 3.3 and 5v is ok, entrip1,2 are ok, enldo is ok but there are no outputs on coils for 3.3 and 5v. On pins 7 I have 0v and on pin 19 0.1v
I checked with multimeter in diode mode these 2 pins and look ok.
I checked for short, no short.
On switch button I have 3.3v but not on pin 8 of bios.
        Do you have any suggestions.

        Thanks

            ok i will check resistors.
i would like to point out something.
            i have changed 1589 ic.
at all times pin 20 it shown short except once.
i unsolder the ic and trace were not short nor when the the ic was install pins were touching to each other. that happen with different ic's.
            i will trace that also

            thanks
i will come back to you

Asus x751ld rev 2.0 dual mosfet 6 pin

I have the above m/b which does not have 3.3 and 5v supplies.
Ic step down regulator seems to work ok. i have Vin, LDO3.3 and 5v,EnLDO 6v,
              Entrip1,2 ok.
there is one dual mosfet 6 pins (very small) label NT which is getting very HOT. Is located near the RT8239B.
testing pins 1 and 6 seems ok and 3 and 4 are ok is diode mode.
does anyone knows what is the function of that 6 pin mosfet!
does that preventing 3.3 and 5v to power up!

              Thanks
Note: no short is shown on any coils.

Re: Asus x751ld rev 2.0 mosfet problem

Ok. After investigation of m/b I found that 3
+3vEC and 3v vcc are shorted near the EC IC.
                  The EC ic is ite8585e.
Does this mean that IO is burned!
                  Thanks

                    Hello,

I have a problem with the bios, let me explain.

With BIOS 1, the pc takes +- 30 seconds to display the ASUS logo (black screen) and to boot.

I did a clear ME, my black screen problem for 30 seconds at boot is solved, it gives me directly the display and boots quickly.

My problem is that now, once the charger is plugged in and I put a slight load on the processor, it bogs down to 0.39GHz...
The only solution is to unplug the charger to get the cpu back up to speed. But as soon as I plug in the charger, it goes straight back down....

ASUS ROG Zephyrus GPU Mosfet repeat failure
                    by MicroSMD Lab
The board number is GU502DU. I repaired this a couple weeks ago and it came back with the same issue, same mosfet failed (PQH9201). I'm hoping that the GPU was spared this time.
I used the same replacement part (purchased from Mouser) and I'm certain the soldering was done properly since it took just as much effort to remove as before. What could cause this same mosfet to fail? I'm thinking if it was unsuitable then the others would fail too. I looked for similar failures on YTube and the mosfet was replaced with AOE6930 in one instance and AOE6932 in the other but it's possible that the...

                    by Timp74
                    Hi All,
Could anyone comment on the purpose of the MOSFET circled in red in the attached photo of an ASUS ROG X299 Extreme VRM?

I'm trying to fix an ASUS motherboard(WS x299 SAGE) with a similar VRM where this MOSFET has burnt out along with one of the IR3555m driver chips. From looking at photos of motherboard VRMs on the internet, it seems only some ASUS motherboards have a MOSFET like this. Although I've seen some photos of ASUS z370 boards where it's not populated. The MOSFET is usually a NTMFS4C06N. It has its drain connected to the output of the Vcore VRM, and on...

Acer vx5-591G I removed Mosfet and it works without it?! could it cause problem?
                    by ipn00tic
                    Hello everybody,

I'm learning alone at home (with you) of course.

I have an Acer VX5-591G laptop that was given to me as scrap where I was training and diagnosing.

The Laptop turns on and starts to boot for a few seconds but before displaying any image it short circuits the main 19V power supply and turns off.

I managed to "repair" the laptop and it turns on and everything works, I even did game tests for the CPU and GPU and everything works but what I did was remove a Mosfet (PQ807) from the VCC_GT power supply.
                    The VCC_GT power...

Asus GA402RK keyboard and kb backlight problem
                    by Dobrowol
Hi. I have a problem with Asus ROG GA402RK. The keyboard suddenly stopped working along with the kb backlight. I replaced the keyboard and the ITE KBC chip and the problem is still the same. I don't see any passive elements that look damaged. Does anyone have an idea?
