    Help for dv5-1030EL

I have a hp laptop, mainboard 31qt6mb0090, right now the laptop does not power on. When the original psu is connected there is no light near the jack. I have 3.3v on power button that drops to zero when pressed.

    Rsmrst signal is always 0.
Alw voltages are present (3,5 and 12)

On the u22 (bios flash) i have
    1 0.1v
    2 1.6v
    3 3.3v
    4. 0 v
    5. 0.2v
    6. 1.4v
    7. 3.3v
    8. 3.3v

    s5_ong 9.4v
    s5_on 0v

are there other voltages i have to check? thanks

Post the schematic , if not what's the model number of your motherboard .

always start by the begining : First and second mosfet = Drain ;source and gate

Thx for the answer. Btw 19v rail works great, i have
      +3V_ALW/+5V_ALW/+5V_ALW2 /+12V_ALW

But rsmrst is low.. it should came out from the SIO as an high signal in order to power on the unit.

The model number is in the first post.

RSMRST# is missing. So either a signal prior to it in the power sequence is missing, or there is an issue with the EC itself.
Issue with the EC can be that it's damaged or the firmware is corrupted

If we work backwards from the RSMRST# step, we can see if there is anything else missing.

So try by take the IO basic requirements : VCC ,AVCC and ECRST

        Pin 64/ 19

Make sure you use known good HP adapter of correct power rating and try to flash the BIOS.

              adtype = pin 64 = 1.5v
NBSWON1# = pin 19 = 3.3v goes to 0 when power btn pressed. then comes back to 3.3v when released

i flashed a new bios. now rmsrst is always low but when i press the power the power led goes on for 1 second and the rsmrst goes to 3.3v then the led and the rsmrst signal goes off .

                Maybe a bad bios?

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
                    by Capacitorial
                    Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
                    On The TCON...

                    Help reading schematic voltages input/output
                    by gjgib
Hello, this might be embarassing since I consider it a dumb question but keeps me kinda stuck sometimes in my journey.

I want to know if there is any post in this forum which explains my questions. A) When, where and how do I know when X voltage line is input or output. Example:

                    I'm battling with this IC to understand it's voltages. It's from non-turning-on Lenovo Ideapad 3 15iil05 - NM-D461.

                    I see some lines like +5VL / +5VALW / V9B+ / +3VALW being okay and some others like 1.8VALW / +0.6VS / +2.5V_DDR. I just know that some of them are bad or missing,...

HISENSE LCD LED TV MODEL HX40N2176F LED DRIVER SN51DP IC PINOUT AND VOLTAGES
                    by RossMoodley1967
                    Hello

Need to know the voltages that will be present on SN51DP ic when tv is in standby and when powered on.

Just to elaborate on the problem with the tv 1.set came in with flash of HISENSE logo on screen then back into standby.2. Now tv when plugged in red standby light present to quickly changes to blue but no backlights.3.Then an hour ago i checked again , came on standby and stayed until i pressed the power button which changed to power on (blue)4.As far as the led driver circuit goes voltage at output in standby was 38v , power on led light up voltages rise 58v-68v...

MSI Z390-A PRO missing VCORE voltages
                    by karlp028
I've got an MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard that starts up fine, but it's missing the VCORE (and VGT) voltages. All of the other voltages are present (e.g. VCCSA, VCCIO) and I know the CPU (i7-9700k) is good. Now, the original PWM controller (UP9521P) had an internal short and I replaced it with a new one. All of the enable signals look good. The problem seems to be the PWM signals going to the MOSFET drivers. I checked them with an oscilloscope and they are all flat 1.5V with no pulses. I don't know why this would be and I'm not sure where to look next.

Asus Prime x299 Deluxe - no VCCIO VCCSA voltages
                    by lol999
Motherboard after starting show Q code 00.
No shorts on any rail ( at last I can't finde any)
All voltage are correct on SIO - 3.3V, PCH power 1V , DDR 1.2V, SPI 8 leg 3.3V
Nothing get hot, PSU starting, all lights came ON....
One thing i can see incorrect is no VCCIO and VCCSA voltages and no main power on CPU.
After deep looking I found dead Synchronous Buck converter CSD97374Q4M that is powering VCCIO for CPU but after replacing it nothing changed. Voltages on it are correct....
This buck converter is PWM'ed by Asus DigiVRM ASP1405I-62T. Can't finde any datasheet...
