Re: Lenovo Ideapad 330 Onboard Memory Fail

Hi, how can someone identify the particular faulty onboard memory/RAM chip. Definitely going to be just one of the RAM chips and not the entire RAM chips that would be faulty.

Can you share schematic for NM-B452 Rev-1.0?

What is the straightforward way to disable ram without removing memory chips ?
I see no clear explanation in this thread.
        my mobo is NM-B452

Stuff RC1631 & 1632 only. Both 10K. This will disable onboard ram and make it sodimm only.

Shift RC1609 to RC1610 if you want to disable graphics.

          Thats All.

Agree with @smdflea's views. Disabling onboard ram with bios edit is the last option and should be done only on boards where there is no option to disable onboard ram(eg Lenovo NM-D031). Disabling the ram permanently thru Board ID is the best and lasting solution.

If the customer opts for a bios update, you know what will happen with the onboard ram disabled thru bios edit.
