    Macbook Pro A1286 820-2915 GreenLight 200 Milliamps Not Turning On

    Hi guys hoping you all can save a life here.Because i think i messed up.The history of this machine is that it was working and functioning perfectly.Well as you know these are one of the machine models with the dedicated GPU that is faulty.So i made an attempt to try the dosdude method of ''Permanently Disabling the 2011 MacBook Pro 15" Dedicated GPU'' using the Lattice USB Programmer and well i don't know what went wrong I followed the video to a T but after soldering the wires on the pads just like the video instructions i realized that the Macbook Pro no longer turns on.It just gives me greenlight and draws 0.02 amps.I took some measurements of some of the power rails.Can you guys please guide me further as to what rails to check and where to start ? I think that it might be a shorted PCH according to a youtube video from Rossman.But if so would appreciate it if you guys can help me confirm this.thanks

    Double check your measurements. PP3V3_SUS and PP5V_SUS should come up before PP3V3_S4.
    Also make sure you're using a genuine Magsafe 85W.

        Check voltage on PM_SLP_SUS_L, PM_SLP_S5_L, PM_SLP_S4_L and PM_SLP_S3_L.

          Okay these are the voltage readings I have gotten my friend.

          PM_SLP_SUS_L = 3.3V
          PM_SLP_S5_L = 0V
          PM_SLP_S4_L = 0V
          PM_SLP_S3_L = 0V

                    100% sure you are using a genuine Magsafe 85W…?

                        You can use bench Power supply, but you have to have magsafe connector from 85w charger, info of wats is in magsafe dongle.

                          okay my friends.I went ahead and got an genuine Magsafe 85W Charger borrowed from a friend.I have taken over all the voltage measurements .And they are now as stated below with original charger.

                            Piernov Man i owe you and the whole community a Big apology. You really know your stuff and am extremely sorry for not following instructions. But it was unintentionally my fault honestly. The macbook Pro is now working.I gave up today and decided to put back the macbook in it's chasis and close it up put it in a draw and give it a decent burial.Then i just casually put back the battery into it and just decided to press the power button for the last.Then immediately I saw fan spin and heard it chime.I was like what the hell.So i was in total shock.So i decided too unplug the battery and try to plug in my friends genuine macbook charger into it...Still it would not start but only greenlight the same state it was in when i posted the issue.So i looked closely at my friends Genuine charger block..And yes it was original but it was a 60W charger.The small writings on the charger had faded.So i googled magsafe a1330 which was the only thing not faded and it showed it's a 60W charger.And i remember you saying if it's a 80W charger i had.lol ...So when i traced back everything what happened was my friend who initially sent me the macbook pro with a charger that i thought was working ..Really it was running off battery power and not the charger itself.So tomorrow I will be on the hunt for an original 80W charger.So thanks again for the help and hopefully those readings might be able to help someone who may end up in the same situation. So according to piernov it really needed to be an Genuine Magsafe 80W adaptor guys.
