    HP CQ45 convert descrete to uma

    helloo guys, i have 2 mortherboards all same issue... after long time of gpu reflow, its no longer working... i tried flashing bios but still not showing anything on lcd, i think gpu is now dead... can you help me converting from descrete to uma on this INTEL boards...

    Google it , you gonna find many video about it just try the one with the same motherboard

        Not possible to convert on this mb. Read page2 of schematic. LVDS grows from MCH and it is not possible to re-route it. So you need to replace the graphics chip. However, its very difficult to get a chip which is genuine.

          Arrow on page 2 seems to be a mistake, LVDS signals are routed directly from GPU not MCH according to pages 19/20. If it was routed from MCH there could be a conversion possible. Here I confirm it's not possible. (MCH is P-series so it doesn't even have a GPU anyway)

          This GPU shouldn't have a high failure rate (these have the "good" white underfill, as opposed to the previous series), see-ic has some refurbished G98-700-U2 (if that's what on this board), could be good enough.

          Better to just replace the board at this point, you could buy the iGPU only variant LA-4101P if you prefer.
