    Lenovo Ideapas 700-15isk

    Lenovo Idepad 700-15isk
    MB: LOL SKL MB 15221-1M 448.06R01.001

    When it's came in to the service, it was a short in 20V circuit. Near in battery circuit.
    After i repaired the laptop, works fine. I tried several starts. When i want to turn on for the last test the lenovo logo appeared then the screen goes black.
    Power button would come on/off but the screen remains black, no Lenovo logo on startup, etc. Power on light is on, fan spins
    I tried external monitor, internal screen,other memory, RTC battery.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

      try to check the bios ic vcc. reflash the bios with known good dump.. try to check all the power rails.. the ALW voltages.. maybe there is still a short circuit.. try also to clean the memory module if applicable. .happy hunting

          Hello friends,

          Looking for some guidance here. The RAM voltage circuit on this motherboard keeps burning out PU301 which is a RT8231AGQW. Copy of the board with the burnt chip attached with some voltage measurements and copy of the schematics also included.

          I think I've checked almost every component in the circuit, but when I change the RT8231, the laptop starts I have 1.2V on the inductor for about 10 seconds and then the RT8231 goes south and no more voltage on the inductor. All other voltages on the laptop are good, this is the only one conking out for a reason I...

          Hello fellows. My Lenovo ideapad5 151al7 doesn't charge my battery, this seemed to happen right after an win 11 update, at least that is when I noticed it. I rolled back the update but it didn't matter. The laptop doesn't work off of the power adapter, which btw, I always leave plugged in and never really use the battery. New power adapter and battery, same problem. USB-c connector. The battery monitor in setup says "charger not installed", (but it is).
