If I check its display with a 15.6 LCD, the backlit is OK but nothing appears on the screen.Comment

CCFL screens are difficult to repair. If you connect another CCFL screen with a different model of Inverter, then the mainboard gets damaged. This scenario happened to me once. that is why I do not like CCFL screens.
In general, If the inverter of the old screen gets warm, it is probably defective and should be replaced by the exact same model of inverter.Comment

@caspian, he is getting backlit as per his post-so inverter is working and it couldnt block data from appearing. So it has nothing to do with inverter. Screen can be a issue if not compatible.Comment

Problem
This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached.... -

Hello.
I have a Dell 5480 that show display only on external, through HDMI.
It's own display is completely dead, total blank, i checked with lot of light to see if backlight is dead but no, nothing at all.
I want to check all possibilites before order a new screen so any advice welcomed.
Schematics attached, bought them for dirty cheap (my mb is rev 2.0 and schematics are rev 1.0 though)

I have search everywhere for a solution for my problem, but cant find it anywhere.
When I was away to trow some garbage i always look in the electronic bin.
and this time i find a laptop.
Dell G3 15 3500, when I get home i look at the battery, add one harddrive, plug in the powercord.
the lamp for charmig is white.
Tryed to start it, the screen blink for a second, the keyboard lightsup, the fans and HD starts.
but no Dell logo.
I tryed with a hdmi cable to another screen, still black.

I have a Dell monitor model P2417H white screen display. The panel is samsung LTM238HL05. I measure test points and don’t anything like VGH, VGL, … still have 5V. Please suggest me some thing.
