I like to start these kind of things with BIOS dump.

Step 1. Take off chip and write BIOS, see if it solves your problem.

          NO?

Step 2. Take off CMOS battery and take off laptop battery. When you connect power cord it should automatically turn on. Does it do that?

          NO?

Step 3. Disconnect dauther board and keyboard, try step 2 again.

Yes? You have coffee on your power button/dauther board or keyboard.

          NO? Dig deeper.

On a different note, here is a video for upgrade your RAM. You can put up to 4 GB of RAM onto that poor little thing.

I helped you a little bit, plz help me now. I have same exact motherboard, same revision, battery not charging. Plz measure some voltages for me and report.

Remove laptop battery and attach power cable before measuring.

#1. Tell me voltage on pins 1 and 2 from the right.

#2. Tell me voltage on pin 3 from the left.

#3. Tell me voltage on this mosfet.

Your help is highly appreciated and will help me solve my battery charging issues.

voltage on pins 1 and 2 from the right = 18.37
voltage on pin 3 from the left = 1.86
voltage on this mosfet = 18.37

Who you repairing it for? Customer? This does not worth the effort, no service. Yourself? Maybe worth it if if for yourself, provided that you are abel and willing to do memory upgrade. With 1 gig memory this thing is bad in Kali linux under XFCE running a terminal window, picture it running XP.

On OU1 find pin 32. See what it does with button pressed. You should have 0 with button pressed.

If you do, that means signal from button is coming to the chip. That would mean the chip itself is trash. ICH is not getting PWR_BTN. Try to emitate this signal. Perhaps form your own PWR_BTN and go around OU1. Or replace it, it's about $1 on ali. I would go around controller if I were you..

the voltage on pin 32 is 1.8 after i press pwrbtn the voltage become 3.2 after i press the pwrbtn again and quickly the voltage become 0 .

                      by AtelierRepa
                      Hello,

I have a problem with the bios, let me explain.

With BIOS 1, the pc takes +- 30 seconds to display the ASUS logo (black screen) and to boot.

I did a clear ME, my black screen problem for 30 seconds at boot is solved, it gives me directly the display and boots quickly.

My problem is that now, once the charger is plugged in and I put a slight load on the processor, it bogs down to 0.39GHz...
The only solution is to unplug the charger to get the cpu back up to speed. But as soon as I plug in the charger, it goes straight back down....

Hi. I have a problem with Asus ROG GA402RK. The keyboard suddenly stopped working along with the kb backlight. I replaced the keyboard and the ITE KBC chip and the problem is still the same. I don't see any passive elements that look damaged. Does anyone have an idea?
