Asus X555LD rev 3.3 black screen

    Hey there,

I have a problem with an Asus x555LD rev 3.3
Power LED on, battery is charging, but black screen, no fan and no HDD LED.

    I tried to :
    - connect with an external monitor
    - reprogram bios
    but no change

Can you give me any advice of how to fix it?

    Thanks in advance.

      Thanks for your reply.

I don't have schematic and I can't test voltages. I just noticed that BIOS voltage is 2.5V (pin 8) and I don't know if it is normal.
I tried to replace external RAM but nothing change.
I removed BIOS from the motherboard and reprogrammed with CH341A.

I think VS voltages are not proper. You need to find out the ALW to VS mosfets and check voltage on all pins. Fan is not spinning -that does mean absence of +5V VS or it is dropping low. Had the exact same symtoms on dell N5050 nad was solves by replacing VS mosfets.

            Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

            Charging led works

I would like to program the bios again, to rule out a corrupted bios.

ASUS X201e - The screen does not turn on and remains black
            by andrestecno
            Hi everyone,

I'm dealing with an intermittent problem and can't find a solution. Sometimes my notebook starts up and everything works fine. However, after I turn it off and try to turn it on again, the motherboard starts, but the screen stays black. It seems like the notebook freezes and a green LED with a light bulb icon stays on.

If anyone has the service manual or any suggestions on how to fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

            Thanks in advance!

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Asus Vivobook Pro 16X OLED No boot/Black screen

            Hi all,

Hoping to get some directions on a current repair of an Asus Vivobook Pro 16X. The laptop powers but shows no other signs of life, and appears to have all typical supplies according to boardview files (attached). Both CPU, GPU & PCH get sensibly warm & thermal camera reveals no obvious shorts. The only supply that makes me slightly wary is +1V8_AON_PLLVDD, as this measures 1V2. I believe this may be normal, however?

Pressing the power button gives you a lit keyboard & power/battery lights, but that's about it. No display (internal or external via HDMI)...
