Coffee spilled on HP Pavillion 15-cc109na

    Hi,

    Story of the problem :
last week my wife spilled her coffee onto her laptop. I immediately turn off the laptop and turn it upside down but the next day screen of the laptop was not showing anything.

Model of laptop : HP Pavillion 15-cc109na
    Model of mainboard : DAG74AMB8D0
Schematic of board is attached to this thread : https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ht=DAG74AMB8D0

A couple of days later i disassembled the laptop the area that i have marked on jpg file i attached was corroded a little bit. I cleaned the area with isopropyl alcohol. the component i marked is detached while i was cleaning. Worst of all i lost the component while reassembling the laptop so i can not know what it was.

I found the schematic of my board on forum but i don't know how to read it or if it contains this information. This is as far as i can go on this issue, any help is appreciated

    thanks

If you cant read and understand the schematic, i would suggest that fixing the board should be handled by someone who is familiar with electronics and have some experience with SMD soldering. Of course it is your property and you have every right to try fixing it yourself. But if you really want to fix it, let a professional do the job or at least ask for help from a friend who is good at Electronics.

Help me troubleshoot Hp Pavillion 15 DAG74AMB8D0 REV D Power
        by sarry86
As usual please guys go easy on me 🄶, I have this mentioned laptop that was once working but with display problem, my friend took it to an inexperienced technician (like me šŸ¤’) and they got it completely dead, now he has brought it back to me and gave me for spare parts. Although I am not an experienced technician, initial troubleshooting suggests that the pc has the sign of life as it hasn't been shorted anywhere (visual inspection) nothing is heating up and all the voltages prior to the main power rails are available (according to the schematic) it is just some area where it seems the voltages...

Reader PocketBook InkPad 3 – identification of a black component marked 'CT' on the microUSB line
        by Maniackk
        Hello,

        Device: PocketBook InkPad 3
        Mainboard: XRZ_E091_PB740-VTTOA-V1.1 / 2017-10-12

I'm replacing the broken microUSB connector on this e-reader, and during inspection after desoldering, I noticed a loose black SMD component marked "CT". One of them was torn off along with the pad, while the other one (marked in the photo) is still in place.

I would appreciate help identifying this component.

Measuring the loose component with a multimeter gives 5.84 MĪ© in both directions, while the one still on the board shows no measurable...

        AEG coffee machine no steam
        by Gaz54uk
Hi. I have a built in AEG model PE3810-M coffee machine after about 2 years from new it had a problem were no steam would come out of the wand so i paid £80 to have it repaired after 6 months the same faulty happened again but the repairers said they only give 3 months warranty so we just left it sat there but now i'm wanting to get some use out of it, i'm 80-90% its one of the solenoids as waters still come out by the wand and the bit where it makes coffee, I've made sure all the pipes are cleared and can hear the pumps going but just not sure and don't want to start wasting money on parts unless...

Transformer replacement for a dead coffee machine
        by double_DD
        Hi guys,

I have a dead coffee machine, and it seems that the culprit (no 1, at least) is a dead trafo - primary coil seems to be blown open (type shown on the picture below).

Now, I'm unable to find direct replacement anywhere on ebay or aliexpress, and all similar that I' was able to find are rated too low (<1A).

If someone knows a shop to buy replacement (EU/CH), that would of course be my 1st option.
        My other ideas:
        - to buy 220/20Vac trafo with 30VA, and to "manually" create secondary 12V output just via resistor
        - to buy...
