    Toshiba C660-2DV dead

    Hi all,
I have this laptop - completely dead, no lights. One of USB port missing and second was shorted, I removed shorted usb port. VREG3 and VREG5 are present. Bios pin 8 - 0V.
    PU330 - TPS51125 heat little bit. EN0 -3.3V
    I tried change pu330.

Any idea please? I can't find the problem. Thanks!

usb is driven by 5V line by the switching mosfet from that line. so chceck 3,3V and 5V line for short and find that usb switching mosfet and check its output for short

I checked switch U14 -RT9715BGS_SO8 and there isn't any short on IN/OUT pins - after shorted usb was removed.

what about 3,3V, +3VLP and 5V output of PU330. check for short and for voltage

+3VALWP and +5VALWP - no voltages, no shorts
          +3VLP -3V

check all 4 output mosfets for short

and better check all pins of PU330 for voltages. wrote it to schematic for better understanding

Really weird. Maybe my chip is dead because I replace it before I found short on usb.. and this chip is from another board, not new.. i check mosfets out of the board and all are good.

Make sure there is no shorted, Then check component PQ361 and resistor2 nearby.
Should be the value on gate of PQ361 be High (approx 5V). The purpose to avoid Entrip Signal grounded by trigger VL voltage.

                      My problem is in PU1 G718TM1U - pin 3 - OT1 - VS_on shorted to ground - 5ohm.
after I removed chip I have +3VALWP and +5VALWP voltages and power led is on.

damn u r right. i didn't read whole TPS datasheet. i was thinkung that entrip must be high to be enabled, but datasheet says short to ground to disable channel
