Re: Help a newbie with his first project
Long time, haven't been able to look at the board again before now.
I measured two caps show in the picture, they both come out as 0-1ohm on both ends...

by CapacitorialHello guys,
I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
On The TCON...-

by worldofskinHey guys! i build a 30V 3A powersupply. My friend blown it... He connected cables to the wrong connectors. I changed the op amps, shorted zener diode and a 9014. Now the powersupply works again but only to 6V. When i measured the caps they looked in spec. But after i connected 2200uF cap on the main power rail parallel to the C1 - 3300uf one - output voltage is now regulatable to 8v. Any idea where to look ? or what to do ? R1 and R2 are getting hot. The input of the transformer is 40V after rectifiers. Its a 24V transformer on 230V mains voltage....

by sam_sam_samRight now Battery Hookup has these e-bike battery packs that are used but I am going to remove them and test them and see how good they are and maybe resell or reused them for another project this is for another day
When I get the rack mounted enclosure that I mentioned in another post I will see how well they fit in the enclosure and how much room I will have left

These battery packs are a little bit hard to get out of the enclosure because they were a little bit glue... -
by BladibladI have an interesting project here. I have a HP RTX 3060 12GB VRAM GPU with a shortcircuit between a (what I believe is) a coil and a cap. The short circuit is so bad that it will trigger a failsafe on the PSU.
I'm a beginner in this field and have managed to do only very simple board repairs so far. I have basic understanding of the components (mosfets, caps, nand chips) but completely diagnosing a board with schematics would be challenging. In this case though, I'm going to hope that replacing only the two shorted components will bring the card back to life (if none of the IC's... - Loading...
