I have a problem on this motherboard. Power switch is showing only 0.9V it is not power on. I checked power on 3V and 5V are ok. I attached Schematic also. I have doubt only on IO chip. I checked at Pin 64 it is showing only 0.9V.

R302 shows 10k and pin 1 shows 3.3v and pin 2 shows 0.9 v. But it shows resistance to ground is 111ohms to pin 2 to ground and pin 1 to ground shows 15 ohmsLast edited by raajkumar; 04-17-2018, 09:11 AM.Comment

I already suspect that chip only. Now I removed and the short has gone. I am waiting for a new chip. Thanks for advice to everyone who gave help .Comment

Hi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -

So, I've been racking my brains on this one.
I have a Satellite C50-A which I'm repairing for a friend.
I recently replaced the main board due to failure.
Following this, absolutely everything works perfectly, except for the fact it won't power down.
Initially, shutting down via Windows would shut the OS down, screen would turn off (noticed the lighter black go to what looks like the darker black powered off screen as though the backlights have powered off), however the laptop was still running internally with a spinning...
