HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab127ca (Touch)

anyone here able to help ? i have very strange problem with this laptop . any time you close the lid the laptop lose all the power even the charger light goes off , removing battery won't help , only way if i have to wait like 10 -15 mins then the charger light will come on and you can turn on the laptop and as soon as you turn it on error message appear The system bios has detected your notebook PC was placed in hibernation to avoid overheating .

The system is now operating normally and your data should remain intact.

Overheating may occur if the cooling vents are blocked or the operating temperature exceed the specification. The notebook PC should return to normal operation once the situation is resolved.

System Temperature (90D)" but this issue not related to overheating at all as the laptop runs very cool it just happen anytime you close the lid ... any explanation ? updated the bios no change

if you have schematic, then look for "thermal io protection" circuit.

anytime you press on power button or close the lid which both should put the laptop to sleep instead the laptop will lose all the power ,dc charger light goes off and noway to turn it on unless you want for 20 mins or so then it will turn on with error code 90D which this code related to overheating but the system not overheating at all , cpu temp in max load around 45c ... what is the problem ? is this bios bug or motherboard issue ?

first, lets try to find out if schematic is available for your model and thats why asked for mb code.

I think it from power option. Power up the Laptop then go to power option. Then check what in the option of "when close the LID".
Place "Do Nothing" or "Goes to Sleep".

If no solve then check thermal protection and LID_SW# signal on the circuit.

Schematic is available on premium sites but i dont have account. If anybody can post Quanta X22 schematic, then we can look further.

if you close the lid or press power button to put the laptop to sleep or even if you force the laptop to turn offf by long press on power button then the issue will start i even went to bios screen and then i pressed power button and same thing laptop lost power and you can't turn it back unless you wait for like 20 mins then the charger light on the side on dc jack will come on and you will be able to turn it on , so it is not windows related issue nor bios as i reflashed bios 3 times with deference versions , all lead to same result .. so it is not lid switch either could be power button board is the issue but when it dies i still get 3.3V on the power button .... very stange problem

Hardware issue with either the EC or the thermal sensor and associated circuitry. Could be due to liquid damage.

Check page 30 of the schematic for thermal trip and protection.
