Need help to replace keyboard on hp pavilion 14-d006tu

Hi,

Few days ago i found out my HP Pavilion 14-d006TU laptop
Keyboard not working. Upon opening the case, i found the old
Keyboard is a full size textured island-style with touchpad frame.

I notice there is no screw to hold the keyboard to the plastic frame
but only see hp factory use the "press melted plastic" instead of normal
Screw.

I need any help in how to replace the not functioning laptop keyboard.
Appreciate for any help.

Just use a flat blade and slowly go round and pop all of the plastic rivets, they will come off.

Hi JJR,

Thanks for quick reply. After i popped off those plastic rivets and remove the old keyboard, how do i hold the new keyboard to the frame ?. Our seller sells the keyboard without the frame.

You don't need anything more than some sticky tape to hold it while you refit.

Well I use soldering iron to melt that plastic, replace keyboard and then melt plastic back on + use some tape on it afterwards.

But first, check if new keyboard is working properly.

Hi Bremix & jjr,

Thank you for good clear help. I use soldering iron
to melt those plastic and after fit remeld again
after testing new keyboard.

The new keyboard works!
