    g73sw strage lcd issue

G73sw show only with external monitor
I tried with a video card, not for this model, you see only the external display. I bought a new video card (gtx560 ) , and you still see only the external monitor.
I changed the flat, no change.
Then I tried the video card with another motherboard (new motherboard with bios for gtx460 only ) for this notebook model, you always see only externally.
I purchased a new monitor (50 pin 3d full hd 17 ") but with both motherboards is seen only with an external monitor.
This notebook has two connections for the video cable, one for monitor 50 pin 3d and the other for non-3D monitors. The problem is that the system not detect the monitor used and don't send the correct signals.
Another thing I've noticed: any video card I use, works fine with external monitor
although does not have the correct video driver in bios (the new motherboar has only gtx460 vbios I check with mmtools).
    It use a generic driver?
it is possible that what we see with external monitor is the video output from the cpu ?
    any ideas ?

    Re: g73sw strage lcd issue

There was another problem with new video card:
I purchased this as a GTX560 video card (http://www.ebay.it/itm/ASUS-G53JW-G5...00-A03-TESTED- GOOD- / 301894802875), now as you see in the picture the card is for G53JW model, downloading and extracting the VBIOS from asus website I found that this driver is for 10de, dd1 which corresponds to a GTX460M.
The chip welded on this card is N12E.GS.A1 which corresponds to a GTX560M.
So it seems that they did an upgrade and I have serious doubts that are truly 3G vram because I read that GTX460M support max 1.5G vram.
    This card has 12 chip hynix h5g02h24mfr (4 Banks x 2M x 16bits Synchronous DRAM)
I thinking it was a real GTX560, I used the driver for a vbios
    asus g73sx
At this point what video driver I have to try?

      the ebay link has changed:
      http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-G53JW-G...-/292049352391

There is a pm25ld010 with a vbios instead on new GTX560m and on old GTX460M, but there is a vbios also in motherboard bios, which vbios is used by the system ?

Aorus 17G YD laptop, broken display, could not switch to external monitor
        by ArchangelGabriel
Hello guys! I need a little help, I have one laptop for repair, it is an Aorus 17G YD, gaming laptop. Broken display, some cable ripped form daughter board connector, case broken, battery discharged and probably locked, etc. After I did the most tedious job I ever did on soldering back the broken cables (shielded cable) , I measured resistance on CPU and GPU core, 3 and 5 v ps and any coils I find on the board, everything seems to be fine. After I plugged the charger I don't get the power led light on from the charger connection maybe because the battery is locked , but on power button I have

How to force Acer Aspire Series to bootup BIOS/UEFI on external Monitor?
        by maralexbar
I ask this question in general as there are many Acer Aspire models with UEFI Insyde BIOS that do not boot to the BIOS on an external monitor (VGA, HDMI, etc) showing only the Internal LCD (LVDS, eDP etc).
It's a pain to work on Acer notebooks with a broken screen and not being able to access the BIOS using an external monitor.

If anyone knows how to force the external monitor as primary for Notebooks of those models

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
        by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Dell monitor PSU vs Dell laptop PSU
        by keepread
        Hi there!
Someone gave me their old monitor, it's Dell S2715ht.
The owner was using it when his PSU began to smell and then to smoke. It literally began to melt. He turned the monitor off, pulled the PSU, and ditched it because it was smelly even after it cooled. So I got the monitor but not the plug.
Now, I tried to bring the monitor back to life, by plugging one of my many Dell laptop PSUs. They are of the same 19.5V, and the wattage of the laptop PSU is higher than that which the monitor is rated for. Visually, the socket on the monitor seems compatible, and the plug plugs...
