    iCraig CLP290 factory recovery key?

    One senior lady bought this Netbook, iCraig CLP290 14-Inch Netbook has virus needs reset to factory recovery mode, I try this (15 second power button down.) not work? Any help?

    PS: Is this a real ransomware?
    PS: How can I open safe mode, OS is Google Android 4.2 ?

      haha ..seen that on windows systems ..safe mode and restore to earlier date gets it running then root it out of the directories manually ... or just wipe and start again ..it is actually a con and can be fixed yourself ...
      android is like linux so i guess it runs off a kernel .. or similar .
      will it boot up from a external usb or disk drive ? no idea how to do this as never tried much with android ... you may have to take root access to fix it .. then you get a terminal screen up and maybe load new system or system clean ...
      an 8 year old could probably do it all in seconds ...

                  (ctrl alt del) will restart the netbook if I push any button the pictures come out again.

                      can you get into factory reset screen ? this will wipe files and start it new ...

                              I can acess the menu in blink of time. I mean the setting, If I touch any button the doggy picture come out!

                              I put in airplane mode still the same.

                                  first one: boot it back to same doggy pictures, second : Netbook (laptop) has no volume down button!

                                      look through menus like apps etc and see if you can delete the virus thing ....
                                      only other way is root it then sort it out with root privileges which is everything and anything .. there are apps for this .. i did it on my phone .. superuser app ...uninstall app . terminal emulator app .. all good stuff .

Have a 55" Hisense TV that starts to load the Android OS (no backlight issues) -> reaches the app screen where you can view the assorted icons including Netflix and always crashes at the same point just after this launch. If I quickly press the cursor buttons, the cursor can navigate to the settings menu but will power off just after a few seconds of this activity. Do not believe it is power related since the crash is very accurate in the boot cycle.

                                                  After the OS 'crashes', the power does go off and the from white LED goes dark for about 20 seconds and then ON again....

                                                  Problem with TV:
                                                  - Netflix stopped working so i tried to do factory reset from the TV menu.
                                                  - I confirmed on-screen but the factory reset did not happen even. It did not take me to 'first-time installation' screen as mentioned in the manual.
                                                  - After waiting for some time, the TV went into a boot loop.
                                                  - JVC logo comes on the screen and LED light flashes for some seconds, then it reboots again and the same thing happens

                                                  I repaired the backlights on this model (symptom flash of backlights, repaired seven bad, part#3P55TA004-A2 new strips available at Shopjimmy) and now the TV is stuck on the home screen. I can only turn the TV on with the remote and no buttons work once booted on the home screen. Only the TV buttons volume -/+ and on/off work. There is no physical menu or input buttons.

                                                  I think a factory reset will clear it but not a lot of options. Tried the Sony Android methods of holding down the on/off button while plugging it it and holding down vol- with power on/off....

                                                  I'm posting this to help other people.

                                                  If you have a Vigor AP with some kind of a software issue or just with an unknown admin password and disabled reset button, here is how you can flash a fresh firmware.

                                                  Download the firmware from the vigor's website and extract it somewhere.
                                                  Download TFTPD64 or other tftp client with file push.
                                                  Connect to the unit with an ethernet cable and set your client IP address to 192.168.1.10 (just not .1 or .2).
                                                  Start TFTPD64, go to tftp client tab. Select the server interface with the above IP and...
