Re: HP 14-ac101nx Please Help
That to me sounds like a GPU issue and it probably needs re-balling. Many times one code can mean different things and just from my experience the same code can lead to ram or a GPU issue.Did you try just one stick of ram in either of it's ram sockets? Many times I've taken the mboard out and baked the board to fix GPU issues but you never know how long that will last. Theres lots of videos on youtube that explain how to do this yourself.IF you've not ever taken a laptop etc apart you may want to get a tech to fix that problem. One thing I've done to get a laptop with no screen images to work temporary is press alt, control , delete several times till the comp boots. You may wish to try another hdd and go to the manufactures web pg under support and download/install the latest flash update.
Please let update us regarding this issue thank you.Last edited by Electronic Handyman; 05-01-2016, 04:19 AM.Comment

Re: HP 14-ac101nx Please Help
@electronichandyman i already reflash the bios with the bin file i donwloaded to the manufacturer (http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04811987) , i also tried to put an external monitor but noluck, yep itried also the ram slot with dif. RAM. i think i need to look for another if der is a problem with this MB before reballing the gpu.
@subroto the unit was already disassembled so no issue about the HDD. i already tried to reflash the bios noluck.Last edited by cholski1; 05-01-2016, 07:21 AM.Comment

by tigertecHello all, I am pretty sure my BIOS is corrupt and I need to reflash. I have the chip desoldered and ready to go, however, I can't seem to find the file to do so. I was curious if y'all can point me in the right direction or perhaps provide the file.
Thanks!

by Addster09Hello fellow humans!
I was updating my BIOS and then the power cut out and the laptop turned off and after that it only turns on the light on the lenovo logo and the fans spin up (the screen remains black). After some research I found that ThinkPads support a feature called a BIOS reflash or BIOS flashback but it isn't very well documented. I also read in a post that a specific name is required for a flashback to start so can anyone tell me how to get the recovery file name for a BIOS reflash for my Laptop?
Any help will be appreciated!10-11-2023, 01:19 AM -
by Tom_xHi,
I have HP Omen 15-dc0001nh (DA0G3DMBCE0 rev: E) with blinking capslock 5 long and 3 short. Fans spin constans speed.
HP worked for 2 months after i repaired (before damaged by thunder via rj45 port) I removed LAN ic and powered on
Now with blinking capslock:
All voltage present on big coils, except +VCCGT (i don't know this need for booting)
I tried re-flash bios with known firmware- same result (now i don't have spare bios chip to test spi flash failure)
DDR4 ram is ok, tested on other laptop
WLAN and SSD removed,... -

by STKR123As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.
As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.
There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,... - Loading...
