I got this from a customer yesterday, I have read all voltages correct, 3.4v is present on switch and battery terminals, but when I press power switch nothing happens, I was thinking it could be a bios issue, can anyone help?

Re: Lenovo T410 power issue
I think s the bios, try to find a new one an flash it, of you can post the old bios here on the forum and ask plp to fix it.The Night Drop Down, I Will Keep Try Until..., You Never know.

when connected to ac power, the battery does get charge, led indicator glows red when discharged and turns white as it is fully charged.
but rest nothing happens no sign of life.
this laptop has one preexisting usbc power issue - so i use DCIN jack for charging my laptop.
with this issue my laptop was unable to power ON only sometimes i just had to wait some time.
but now nothing happens no matter how much i wait/ charge/ press and hold power button.

Hi Everyone. First official post so fingers crossed I conform and also manage to get photos to work.
So I am requesting some help from anyone who happens to have one of these motherboards to hand and perhaps a multimeter.
My board has a single row of header pins for all the front panel stuff (have seen others where they are grouped together differently so thats no help) and the two pins for the power on switch had been previously repaired and I am trying to make a better repair. There looks to be pad and trace damage and im happy to relocate the header pin/pins to...13 Photos06-24-2024, 01:24 PM -
by justice171I am seeking guidance on an Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 that does not turn on when pressing the power button.
Below are the observations and troubleshooting steps I have taken so far: Observations and Tests:- Verified that all critical voltages are present:
- 3.3V and 5V are always present if DC is plugged.
- 1.8V on the BIOS chip is present.
- Checked the power button functionality:
- When pressed, the voltage drops to 0V, indicating the button is functional.
- Inspected the flex cable connecting the USB, audio, and power button to JUB1:
- Confirmed connectivity is intact, ruling out issues

by hendekyHi,
I have a problem with my laptop. I just short circuit the eDP cable by an accident. Then i try to open it. i press the power button it was powered the rgb keyboard but after a few seconds and it just shut down. When i opened it up and unplug everything from motherboard i can't see any physical damage from ICs, capacitors and MOSFETs. I found a broken fuse FG3. But it just powers up LCD Display. I try to power it on with DC Adapter and feel some heat from an IC. IC is repeatedly power on and off. I tracked the schematic and i found some MOSFET and main 5V/3.3V controller. After that i... -
by grimacelordHello,
I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.
I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.
I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need.... - Loading...
