notebook turns on but can not detect hdd......tried to reinstall osx but it only shows usb drive.....hdd cable also changed but still same....any ideas

no need to remove the mainboard. rtc battery connect on left low corner (near ram slot). ull find the write near it. it's also near to smc bypass with the always the same logo on remote controller to turn on and off things.
check voltage on 2 pins if they are around 3volt (for good rtc battery ).Comment

a. Power off MacBook, press and hold the power button to enter Recovery
b. Open Disk Utility, remove Macintosh HD
c. Reboot, connect to the network to Activate Mac.
d. Plug the C cord in the first port of the MacBook into the other Mac, then power off the MacBook
d. Hold down the Control (L) + Option (L) + Shift (R) + Power key combination for 10 seconds
e. Release the other keys, but keep holding the Power key for another 10 seconds
f. MacBook is returned to DFU, open Apple Configurator 2 on the other Mac, right-click... - Loading...
