    compaq cq56 dead

    Hi my frients!I have a serius problem with my laptop compaq cq56-110sv.Suddenly necrosis completely!

    His motherboard is DAAX3MB16A1 REV:A 623909-001.

    The point is that it does not work at all.Normally when I connect the charger lights a led on power plug connector.Now do not light at all. It takes normally power the motherboard!Has 5V and 3.3v., Displays the power button to 3.3 V. This became suddenly. Done replacement charger but nothing.I reset BIOS but again nothing!
    You have some idea of what can be?

      Seconded. Had the same issue, flashed BIOS and it came back to life.

        had same model laptop that didnt have any life, not even charger light when plugged. when i remove keyboard it booted normally so that had short.
        This is offtopic but same model.. hope this someone who havent tried this yet.

          Thank you all for your answer...goodguy91 it is not the keyboard...I pullet out but again nothing happened....Dear ktmmotocross,Th3_uN1Qu3,asliyucegsm...laptop is completely dead....How i can flash the BIOS?

            You flash BIOS by desoldering it from the mainboard and flashing it using a programmer. If you do not already have a programmer you can build this, it's cheap, simple and works. You will need to use an older PC with a parallel port for it. http://rayer.g6.cz/elektro/spipgm.htm#SPIPGM_HW

            I have even managed to get it to take power from spare pins of the parallel port, doing away with the battery. It's my favorite programmer due to its simplicity, i use it all the time.

                  There are sellers on ebay offering preprogrammed chips. Alternatively, any computer shop would likely program it for you for a small fee.
