    About different laptop charger voltage.

    Hi
I have a laptop (toshiba A300) charger that states 19[V] and i have different charger with 19.5[V], and i did check the voltage on both of them n the differences is 0.45[V], so i thinks it doesnt matter if i use the 19.5[V] charger cuz its less the 5% different from the original voltage. am i right?

    you are right,
but make sure the replacement charger can supply enough amps.

the differences in the AMPS are 0.61 less then 19[V] charger
      19[V] 3.95[A] original charger
      19.5[V] 3.34[A] other charger.
So can i use the 19.5[V] charger?

          Check the laptop label (underneath).
          There should be something like:
          "DC rating xxV y.yyA"

If y.yy equal or less then 3.34A you're ok to use the replacement.
          If greater follow @stj advise.
          .
