    Asus A2L laptop replacement charger

As per title, and like everyone else I'm looking to not spend too much

This one looks good - likely to be Delta, or just counterfeit ?

Or would this be a better choice, plainly generic ?

FWIW, I do have an Australian power cord

Always difficult to say. From what I have seen, the counterfeit adapters are getting better.
But can never be certain what you are getting because they are not easy to open.
A while back I bought 2 counterfeit Toshiba adapters from the same seller. When I opened them up, they were different designs. They both work well but had no common mode choke on the mains input. This usually causes interference that makes the touch pad operation to be jumpy.

It is safer to get a used original although I had to replace the DC plug on the last one I bought. I have also bought ac adapters that had the wrong plug size then changed to one of the correct size.

Yes, I was wondering if that would be a better option

I bought 2 from eBay last week expecting them to not fit my Satellite A200 laptops.
When they arrived, I found that the plug did fit. As far as I know, Acbel is a good brand.

Yes I seem to recall that they make decent power supplies.

By the way, the pictures for the listings might not represent what you get :/
So it might show a genuine Delta made adapter, but the one you get is some knockoff...
