toshiba satellite a665 strange color loop

    Dear members,

i 've purchaced from e-shop a motherboard LA6062P ver 2.0 to replace a faulty one from a laptop. I've noticed that it has a missing lcd connector!
When i 'd replaced the lcd connector from the old mobo, the screen turn's on white and then red, blue, green, etc in an endless loop.
I 've tried to flash bios with the newest version from toshiba web site.
Strange is that the mobo works well with an external vga monitor i have and maybe with a hdmi monitor too.
Is it something i can do about it or shall i ask for replacement?

    TIA
PS here is the loop color video i 've made.

I think the problem is the lcd connecter, s that the same type of motherboard?, you can try to change it and see what it does, but it could be the Gpu to, maybe is something wrong with the motherboard, and I think they knew it, therefore they sales it without connector and noticed it.

The color loop means you arent getting Data for the LCD Properly. Check the LCD connector and your data lines for shorts or disconnections.

no this mean , this monitor lcd is not compatible with the machine you got , this is very normal to happen also with ultraslim type screen . replace with exact same code behind the screen and it will all be good

When it starts i does that! red green blue and others
Just cook it! It's already broken.

dj_ricoh , exactly , there is a pattern test to test reliability of the screen , but on your case , unfortunetly its a not compatible lcd model

Well just from my experience with Macs with bad LVDS connectors or cables this has always been a data issue. When the screen has no data supplied it defaults to the color rotation.

Is it possible to have more missing parts so the data won't travel through signal lines? Why i have vga screen output normaly then?

Re: toshiba satellite a665 strange color loop

Finaly i've found how to fix it. Looking the old mobo i found that near at lcd connector there was small resistors with low ohms (zero?) which there aren't at the new one. I made bridges with small wires and put it back into laptop.
                  YES ITS WORKING !!

Thank you all for your support. Also thanks the seler who would like to help me.
