    ASUS K53SV on off itsel

    Hi all,
I have 3 motherboard with same problem, I got this repair after a year because they handed me a card with the same problems
1 - if I plug in the ac the fan goes on and off, leds remain on, after a few time the leds goes off and the cycle is repeated. If I try a pwr on/off with button the system goes off and goes on
2 - only with battery , fan goes on off , leds remain on , but the system does not turn off

    - when the temperature rises, the fan increases but runs unevenly.
    - when system start by itself the cpu, gpu and hm65 are hot
-all three motherboards had a problem with the ac jack

I have tried on one motherboard:
    change hm65
    change ite ec
    desolder gpu
    reprogram bios

someone have fix this issue ?
    thanks

maybe you must check tantalum caps for cpu core

It's possible to verify the tantalium caps without remove them ?
or it's possible to verify only if there is a short

well , for short onboard will beimpossible , since CPU will make them (like if there were a short) bether to test outside , but this on off thing its like if there was no CPU. could be a bad vcore

unfortunately, the vcore voltage is stable.
I check all Voltage & Signal Measure Point TOP and BOTTOM indicated in a boardview. I noticed, however, when working with the battery does not restart.
I think the fault is derived from a short on the power pin, because all three board had a problem of this type.
it's really hard to find this fault.

Replace a new GPU ( in my opinion )

Working on Asus K42JA till today from last week, symptom is when plug in adapter, all indicator on for a few 2nd and off but the fan still on with high RPM ( without pressing any button). Try every possible with no luck, after replaced a GPU chip it working like a normal but with black screen / no display ( replace with GPU from scrap MB ). Conclusion for a while it's GPU defect, in my case still black screen even put known good GPU ( still confuse till I send this post ), stuck on this case, i'm out of idea . But in your case just replace a GPU chip for sure

In another board I remove the gpu but nothingh change.
When I insert the power adaptor, all led are on, gpu, cpu and hm65 are hot , after a few seconds the board goes off and the cycle restart.
              Power button don't work
With battery , all led are on, gpu, cpu and hm65 are hot and the board remain on and the power button work but the fan runs in spurts

Try this factory Asus Bios, be warned that your Windows 8 key will be erased, so take a note of it before flashing or you will need to call Microsoft to activate your Windows 8.

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs

                    Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

So I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.

When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it...

                    Replacing Mode Indicator LEDs
                    by VitalComputing
                    Hi all,

I have what should be a simple job but is causing me issues. There are three LEDs (yellow, green and red) on the indicator panel of a solar PWM controller and these have broken off. I need to replace them but I am unsure of the voltage drop across these. I don't want to replace with random LEDs in case they blow.

I took one of the LEDs out of circuit, put 19V across it with a 500 ohm resistor in series and there is a drop of about 13V across the LED, and this seems to increase as I increase the input voltage.

I thought I could just put a resistor...

TCL 55S425 backlights wont turn off
                    by handsworth
Need some advice here. So I picked up this 55" off the curb and diagnosed it with bad leds. I opened it up, tested the 4 strips with the tester and yes, 2 strips had burnt leds. I ordered a new set and installed them. But before putting tv back together, I always test tv to make sure I did it correctly. Tv lights up and works, however when turning tv off, the top set of leds remain on. Swapped power supply with identical one and same results. Swapped MB with identical one, same results. So I put the tv back together and reset MB. Tv works fine like new, but leds remain on when powering...

just a quick question do all qled leds appear blue when fault finding ?
                    by jimbofz
i have replaced many leds strips that have changed blue when they are worn
and the new replacements are perfect white
but when fault finding do quantum leds always look blue?
