Hi all,
The notebook was working fine until last night, when I did a computer restart (instead of Shut Down), entered the BIOS (didn't make any changes) then shut it down by pressing the power button (to avoid booting into windows 7 again and do computer shut down), that's exactly when the problem developed, now the laptop turns on itself when DC power is plugged-in (AC Adapter or Battery), lights on but won't boot.
Reset methods, electrostatic discharge ... won't work, CMOS Battery is good (3.02V).
I'm suspicious of the BIOS (It could be GPU related problem but in my case I don't think so), tried the CRISIS disk method but no luck (not a big fan of this method, sometimes it works sometimes not), so i borrowed a BIOS programmer (XELTEK SUPERPRO 500P along with a TSOP 20 Adapter) to flash the BIOS, but I'm confused with the proper EEPROM's placement (winbond_25Q32BVSIG) (the orientation of the chip on the programming adapter and even the programming adapter on the ZIF socket itself), since that programming adapter doesn't have PIN numbering, it is identical to this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5pcs-...563060020.html).
By the way is it compatible (could be used) with the chip (winbond_25Q32BVSIG)? Since this is my first attempt with BIOS programmers and in case of an improper placement (orientation) could this lead to a damaged chip? Any suggestions! thanks in advance.
The Notebook is out of warranty.
