Sony Vaio wifi works 15 minutes

Have a Sony Vaio that wifi works only 10-20 minutes and then it stoped working. I install a new Windows and replaced wifi card and the same problem. I dont know what to check. Also RJ45 doesnot work never. Any idea?

Is LAN drivers installed? Check the contact pins in the Ethernet port. Is your CPU fans working? Check to make sure computer isn't overheating.

If overheating it will shutdown, but problem is not this. Laptop can work hours but wifi works only 10-15 minutes.

it could be a bad wifi card - they do get very hot and slowly burn out.

Had this problem at home.

New notebooks with new wifi do this. Shut off when pc goes in stand by.
Problem comes with win7 and win 8 wifi drivers.

Solved by replacing with new router. You can test with usb wifi(new model) and see it does not the same.

Could be the. Laptop is old, design for Windows XP, and could have problems with Windows 7, I dont know. I already replaced wifi card 3 times and same problem.

same kind of problem .
hp dv4 with amd cpu windows 7.not showing my home router wifi.
but shows neighbours surounding wifi .
if i connect usb wifi works fine.
if i thanter with mobile internal wifi works fine of laptop.
my router is also working fine with
1samsung smart tv,
2 android mobil,
1 ipad
all are working fine

device manager >network adapter > your wifi adapter> power managment > remove tick on "allow my computer to turn of this device to save power" may help to solve your problem.
