remove and cleaning is not the problem, the problem is that the 2 lines are broken..

i have to know how are the lines points?

sometimes flux + new solder fix the lines, so first remove component, then flux+ new solder and clean all with ipa and make a picture.

OK dellxps15 i will do it, but i think it looks pretty bad.....

to repair the logicboard is not the problem, but to repair this points will maybe be...

check if pin 13 and 14 are shorted by tracing back some capacitor or resistor in their line. if they are not shorted, try to clean or make a better picture of pin 13 and 14 area. pin 14 is vin so is the main power supply of that chip with higher voltage. before to go on we need to know if we have some short there.

here are other spot for pin rebuild. but before do anything, clean whole part with much flux and desolder wick.

could be also that some layer is melted and board cant be repaired.

look at my picture, if u measure short on marked area 12 13 14 are they shorted ? no ic pins but these alternative location.

after that measurement. measure indiode mode pin 14 and located pin 14 to see if they are the same line, do the same with pin 13 and location 13 to see if they are proper 13-14 pads, or some other pads.

                        i hope u understand what i mean.

Yes i understand you good, but the problem is that it is a short in a layer...i have to repair that fist.

Last Question for tonight, Why is this melting when i power supply in it?

MacBook Pro 14" A2442 Short on PPBUS_AON but no short present when injecting voltage!
                              by Stephen
I check PPBUS_AON and there is a short present on the line, the computer shows a short when testing for short to ground, so when I inject voltage into the line, I get 0AMPS so no short is showing up. I have replaced a blown cap on this board that exploded and tested for the short and it is now removed. Any suggestions? I tested voltage at the line when the fuses are connected and I am getting 1.2 Volts at the line.

Greetings to the entire forum, I ask you for help because I'm going crazy. A dear friend of mine gave me a macbook pro M1 A2338 that only works with an external screen. With the internal one, no backlight or image. Only the external display is detected from the system settings.
First I changed the display flat, then I made a backup with time machine and tried a reset in dfu but nothing to do, always the same problem.
I analyzed the logic board, it shows no sign of liquid or visible damage. I then moved on to examine the logic with the thermal camera and found that the UP701 chip was...

                              Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...
