Acer aspire one NAV70 No Power

hi guys can i ask help for my netbook acer aspire one NAV70..?? the problem is no power..i already test input voltage from dc and it is ok.. the problem is no 3volts 5 volts found on circuit.. i already check V-in from 3volts,5volts regulator ic and it is present but still no 3volts 5 volts..

when i check the 3.3 volts capacitor on board it is shorted.even when i try to remove that capacitor the layout is shorted.. i upload the image for additional info..

Unsolder PL3 and check which side of the short side PWM or load , the result here

              What's the point ?
If he says that he has a short line at 3.3V, or I do not understand it?

Re: Acer aspire one NAV70 No Power

If short coming from supply, possibly upper fet is shorted. Common fault. For quick trace, feed 3v on shorted side after removing pl3. Shorted component will heat up

                    What kind of side?
the one that comes from the PWM or the one that the load?

                                  kabayan,

                                  sa load ang short mo.

hunter, the short goes to load to answer your question.

what you can do to trace that quickly is use a dc bench ps set to 3v 1amp and monitor parts going to that direction. shorted part will heat up pretty soon with the setting. if you want to heat up the shorted part slowly, use lower voltage than stated above and gradually increase if nothing heats up but make sure you wont go above stated working voltage of that rail.

to answer another question you asked on how to measure pin 11 of PU4, just use your negative prod to mobo's ground then positive prod on pin 11 using ohm meter.

and as for the board view file : - https://www.google.com.ph/webhp?sour...iew%20software

                                  hope this help kabayan
