Asus U57A-BBL4 not charging

I recently acquired this laptop which does not charge. Owner purchased new adapter and battery but still same issue. It boots to windows, battery indicator says charging but stays on 0%. Tested 5 of 9 pins on battery terminal which read to 3.2v-3.4v the rest is ground.

I also need schematic diagram which I cannot find. Hope someone has. Thanks very much

lets say you got a 10.4v Battery then you need to see over 11v .

lets say it does not charge you got 3.2v-3.3v in a few pins then you got that over 11v in pin to actually charge the batt.

find the voltage if there is no voltage the there is a short even if you got and its low like 5-8v you can trace it.

usually when its low like 5-8 volts its because the gate got low voltage and if you got 5-8v you will see that voltage on the gate and it does NOT open the fet and that means its something bad from IC(or in that line)

Thanks dj. I'm trying to locate which part is at fault. Its very hard to trace without labels on board. I've been spending almost a day looking for the schematic. I'm thinking of purchasing on paid sites.

Nooooo.
Come on .
Set it up on continuity and trace it down to the ic.

I can do it in a few minutes.

Board out connect charger and putt battery corect position and see voltage.
After trace the voltage to the nearest mosfet and see if its bad or no voltage on gate.

I know you can do it.

After this you go in big boys game in repairing.
Continuity and diode from the DMM its your best friend.
