1. with AC and battery: when pressing on button it displays toshiba logo and shuts off and when try to press the button again no thing happens.
2. with ac only (noi battery plugged): when pressing on button it displays toshiba logo and shuts off and when try to press the button it also displays logo and shuts off.

Sounds to me like the short protection or similar kicks in, could be just about anything causing it. Try to remove non essential to boot parts like keyboard maybe and see if it will keep on.

Or a bad hard drive. It seems to stop just after the post when he is about to address the harddrive.

or you can remove all mentioned above including mem, wifi card too. see if it will hold power. note: no display will come without memory but power led should stay. if it will shut off too, consider opening and start troubleshooting the mobo
