the problem is it powers up for10 seconds, no fans no picture then powers off, after few seconds it powers on by itself, also no display and then off, i found u4401 burnt , i removed it because i did not find it

This laptop has a very strange behavior with Ram, the one installed was 8 gb is not working and gives me 3 long beeps with 2 short ones, so i tried a new one with no success, i tried 6 different kinds also with no success, only one 4 gigabyte made it boot and i made bios update to the latest version. but still cannot install any other ram:
the one now installed is working on both slots, it is ddr4-3200, i tried ddr4-2400, ddr4-2666v ddr4-3200 8 giga with no success
i inserted the working one with another one on the other slot, the laptop works but detect only 4 giga -

Mine is also dell xps 15 9550 but with different problem:
D + power goes screen test
sometimes is gives me dell logo for few seconds than screen goes off.
if i power it off then on, no logo will appear..i must wait many minutes to get the logo again, i cannot enter bios.
I tried bios posted by SMDFlea post #23 , but all i got is black screen with fans spin for few seconds only, i waited half an hour with no success...
this is my bios file:

I do programmed the bios from mrchromebox, now whenever i press power button, i get 3.3 on pin 1 of the eprom then after 3-4 seconds the voltage drops to 1.8v then 3.3v again...it will make this 3 or 4 times before the voltage vanishesLeave a comment:

I have a bios from another same model... I did now reprogram the bios with it, resoldered it with the same problem.... the sexond one works normal after reading its bios and resoldered it... it makes me headache...the strange thing is that it was working normally with ubuntu but without soundLeave a comment:

no even without bios, the same, no volts on the pins on the board, 3.3v comes for seconds then nothing else, the chromebook was working normally, only after i erased the bios then reprogrammedit, then no power...Last edited by mazloum; 10-26-2023, 08:28 AM.Leave a comment:

A customer bring this chromebook with locked account, i programmed it with mrchromebox.tech method to install linux ubuntu,it worked nice but i got no sound, so i removed the eprom and programmed it with the original bin file..
the problem is that the chromebook can no longer powers on, i tried to program it again with mrchromebox.tech file, still no power, i checked pins solder hundred times...Leave a comment:

if i press esc+refresh+power button, the charge led blinks 2 times with no display... -
