    Acer One ZG5

Hello guys, I got this one yesterday. Namely little fella can be turned on, starts and turns off in aprox 5 sec.
I know that they have faulty bios but I can't come to that point to activate the recovery setup.

Getting on, some "repairs man" tried to reflow the chipset (can be also a reason why this is happening). Didn't tested anything on the circuit so any help or start point is welcome.

have you tried replacing fan? I remember I had similar problem with you. Or maybe board got short.

Fan starts to spin and shuts down.
My only concern is the "tried BGA rework", don't know did he shorted anything.

Hello while I didn't worked at all on this laptop, neither turned him on (except at customers house).
The user used an Acer 5520 charger (which operates on 3.42A), while this is declared on 30W and 1.5A could this turning off be caused by wrong adapter?
I am not at home but was thinking about it today.

The problem is when adapter supplies less amps than required not when it supllies more.
Offcourse is always best to test with a lab power supply to see what amps are drawn from laptop.

Acers are not fussy about adapters (unlike HP or Dell). They will run off anything. I'm guessing more like attempted BGA reflow damaged something.
