Damn work had no time to check it out. Did today, now I get to install everything and boot up to windows but then again it I can install the HD4200 in it, it even installs the HD5400 but it won't switch to it, stays on the HD4200, smells like a gpu fault.
I've read on the interest a lot about this one, and mostly people refer to the drivers, I've tried like 10 versions and get different outputs namely sometimes it won't install the
HD5400 and sometimes will, but I can never use it, I see it only installed.

Hello guys, this one is making me some troubles now.
Came in with "not starting" case. I've plugged it in started and voila it starts, stays on for about 1-2 mins, then auto turn off (no overheat), afterwards it wont start for quite some time only blinks on all leds.
If you discharge it (1min holding power button without power cord), nothing happens, but if I leave it for more then 40mins off, it will repeat the process.
Didn't find anything similar, could it be the bios or the gpu perhaps? -

To be honest, if you are into some practice DIY machine can be better and more long lasting then cheap IRDA machines, just my 2 cents.
P.S: Doing reballs with Preheater and hotair station 2 years and can do it 100% right every time

While the method is weird its indeed far easier to do then to open it up heat up with a fan or SMD station. So I can assure that this trick is very good and fast (though looking back at the dv series that one didn't cut it for me had to to full reflows to make them boot at all).
I am more curious how to determine when to reflash the bios (I know its easy to get it off save the old dump and put in a new), but that requires also some time.Leave a comment:

I've left the sempron in it.
Yea could be, the reflow could only fasten up things.
What is more weird is the ram for sempron it boots up, passes memtest but if I try to load either linux from cd or system from hdd I get artifacts and the laptop frezzes (putting only 2gigs be it either x1 2gb or 2x1gb it works perfectly fine. The ZM 72 sometimes get fully booted with 2gig and 4gig works for few mins and passes out, it could maybe be that the hd3200 is playing a tricky game with me.)

Hello guys, got this one in few days ago.
It has the notorious hd3200, while the reflow went fine, I've one another issue.
This little fella came with ZM ultra 74 cpu unit, putting it back in gives me a big nope as it won't even turn on (turns on and off in cycle's)
Then I dig one ZM 72 and put it in, it works give me screen but frezzes from time to time.
Then I went with the sempron, and the laptop works perfectly fine (sempron won't accept more then 2gigs of ram). -

Envy 15
Hi folks, got few days ago the hp envy 15 to me.
Its not starting at all, nothing seems burned and I am not getting any value output from the bios chip (nearly all of outputs are 0v).
Dunno where to start, any help out would be awesome. -

Nvidia G8X series lasts like crap (mostly within 3months it will come back) G9X & G7X series lasts longer.
Ati on the other hand is like a lottery, the cheap chips HD3200 and HD4250 are devils within (even reball is questionable), while the HD34xx and the stronger chips are very durable.
One thing also how much do you charge (I know its for some an internal question so don't give the 100% estimate but some roughly cifer).
For an instance I charge 20-35E per reflow.

Warranty time
Hello Reflow/Reball mates. I am now 3 years in this business and I'd like your opinion on this one as well as your thoughts.
Till now I've given for reflows 1month of warranty, reballing 2 and chip changing 4. (keeping in mind that I charge a lot less for this since I live in Bosnia)
If you'd like post your warranty information, so that newcomers can decide are they ready to give it and for how long.
(Lately I've stopped giving warranty for the G8X chips and reflowing HD3200). -

Well I needed 100% (or more fan speed) to keep the GPU's temp down (just to prolong its life till the new one didn't arrived).
Its a messy solution gotta agree on that, but in the end a new GPU with normal cooling (without any soldering) solved the case.
