Hi everyone,
Long story: This laptop originally had a issue with a bricked bios because of downgrading and since then it did not want to work anymore. After some searching i found a bios dump of someone else their bios and i flashed it on my laptop with a CH341A programmer (volt modded to 3.3v) and i got it to work again.
I decided to downgrade the bios again (with recovery method) but ended up getting the same result. This time when i reflashed the chip it still refused to work. I also tried to flash the EC chip (W25Q80DVSIG) but no success. When trying to power on the laptop, it cycles with a green light on the power button for a couple times and after it gives me 2 red flashes followed by 1 blue flash which means cpu failure. I confirmed that the cpu is 100% working in a other system so it must be something else.
I checked resistance from the power delivery rails of the cpu but did not see anything abnormal. However, when i try to program the bios IC (W25Q128JVSQ) with a clip connected to it i noticed that one specific corner of the chipset gets hot, so does my programmer. At this point i'm not sure if this is normal or did the chipset gave up on me?
